Pandawan Festival 2012
I’ve been a fan of Aliwan Fiesta. Actually, Dinagyang of Ilo-Ilo is my all time favorite among them all. However, if I can appreciate other province’s festival, why not my own hometown?
Allow me to share Nueva Ecija’s Pandawan Fiesta. Most of you may not be familiar with this but I can say that they are getting better each year. I hope that I would see them in Aliwan Fiesta soon.
The day started with typical street dance. As an avid fan of festival street dancing, I think they have the moves to compete in other areas.
If you notice, I think facial expression is their room for improvement. Organizers should remind them that participants should smile and face the camera. For this are the things that will promote tourism in the area.
After the street dance, they went to Pantabangan stadium for the final showdown. I was surprise of how many people participated to witness the showdown.
Scorching heat and dust won’t stop the competition. I didn’t bring any sun protection but I enjoyed shooting…
Mostly, participants were children from different Pantabangan Barangays.
I enjoyed so much. I think will make Pandawan Festival as my yearly pilgrimage.

Hope to see you next year…
