After spending a good night in The Riverhouse, we decided that we wanted to spend our remaining vacation days in any of the islands in Coron. Actually, we already have three islands in mind. Malcapuya, Banana, and Pass island. Those islands are the best of the best. We packed our bags and headed to Coron town to catch our boat.
Prior our flight to Coron, I’ve been contacting Alvin (Boatman 09062958831) for our reservation and the itinerary we are planning. I highly recommend this guy because he is well-known , have 2 boats that he personally owns and operate, and he is veteran in terms of tourism and navigation. We were surprised of how big our boat was. The biggest I think in my years of Island hopping across the Philippines.
There’s a CR too. Not the best you would expect but it’s a nice to have in times of “NEED”.
The first thing we did is to buy our food supplies good for 3 days and 2 nights. The boatman will cook the food for you.
Our first destination is Malcapuya Island
I’ve been to Malcapuya before but for some reason, I think it is much beautiful now than before.
There’s a hill at the side of the beach. I suggest that you spend some time there because the view is magnificent.
Hopefully, I can still visit Malcapuya with my kids 4-5 years from now. The island is now owned by Boracay resort owners and is planning to build a top toast resort here. Although it’s good to hear that it will be developed soon, tourism wise.. it’s a bad news the average people like me. For sure, you will need thousands of pesos to visit the place.
But for now, let’s enjoy the view. I made an aerial video of Malcapuya Island.
