Casa Consuelo – A Discovery
After 2 nights at Pannzian Beach and Mountain Resort, we decided to try resorts somewhere near Blue Lagoon. My agenda is to take a sunset/sunrise shot of the lagoon. However, as we’re looking for a place to stay, the initial resort we have in mind “Kapuluan Vista” is fully booked that time. So we have no choice but to look for another one.
Fortunately, there was this “nice” place (at least on my first impression) that caught my attention. At first, we’re hesitant to inquire. And when we did, the air-conditioned room are fully booked and only one fan room was available.
With intense heat that day, I originally prefer a cooler room as much as possible but since we don’t have much of a choice, we decided to take a look at the available room.
What a surprised! Not bad Isn’t it ? What amazed me is it’s cool inside the hut. The room is clean, comfortable to sleep with, but is only good enough for 2 person.
The resort itself is nice. I like the ambiance. The resort owner Chad is very accommodating and knowledgeable to different points of interest around Pagudpud. They serve very basic Filipino food and it’s good enough for my taste.
Casa Consuelo is situated very near to Dos Hermanos Islands. It’s another gift for a photo maniac like me.
We walked near the islands during low tide hours.
Before sunset, we bought crabs near Patapat Viaduct for our dinner and asked Casa Consuelo to cook it for us.
Overall, I like the place. Their rates are reasonable. Not cheap for a typical person like me but fair enough for traveler who would like to experience the different face of Pagudpud. Our experience was great during our stay.
I would recommend this place.
